Idea #71: Butterfly Deeds

Butterfly Deeds is an initiative by 4 friends aimed at spreading goodness and happiness through small and random activities. The idea goes like this. Everytime you do something good, something that has created happiness, put a smile on others (people, plants, animals, anything) share it with friends and your social group through facebook, twitter, youtube, flickr etc. When others see these updates and activities they may get inspired to do the same and this way slowly goodness and happiness may spread across.

Idea #70: Sarve Janaha Sukhino Bhavanthu

It's a simple notion that we humans forget so easily. The notion that only if everyone is happy will there be true happiness within each of us and that the world can be a truly happy place only when all of us are happy. In fact this extends beyond human beings to all creation. Only when the whole creation is happy, true happiness can be found within us. I hope it comes true sometime.

Idea #69: The Mandate

Some people are born with the mandate to spread happiness. Unfortunately, it appears that only few people take birth with that mandate. We should pray for more of that kind. The world will be better off.

Idea #68: Understanding the origins of the Universe, Science or Nonsense?

Somehow I find this attempt by scientists to understand the origin of Universe through physics, maths, experiments and telescopes rather pointless. Don't know what exactly they hope to acheive. Moreover the Universe that these scientists are referring to is their "very limited" idea of it, which they call the observable Universe and they have estimated that it came into being some 13.2billion years ago. So what about 13.3 billion years ago or for that matter 50billion years ago? The Universe was not there? Of course it was there, it has always been there and it will always be there...but perhaps in different ways, forms and features than of today's Universe. The Universe is a constantly changing entity and my humble submission is that it's impossible to gain all knowledge, ever, about the Universe in it's entireity and actuality. Science is a very powerful tool but should focus it's efforts solely on general well being of all forms of life and in spearding happiness across, don't know how spending billion of dollars on things like the Large Hadron Collidor to recreate the big bang conditions fits into the scheme of things. Puzzles me!

Idea #67: Experience through words

When experiences are translated to words the essence of the experience is lost in translation. This I believe is the bane of all religions. They have converted profound spiritual experiences into words, words which can never replace the experience. It is a travesty on God's omnipresence when all the world's religions have condensed his presence into books and idols and worship them instead of experiencing his presence.

Idea #66: Being Ordinary

Being ordinary, unknown and excellent is aspirational.

Idea #65: About Politics and Current Affairs...

I feel nowadays like commenting and writing about current affairs, politics, wars and all the things that happens in this world. If you notice I have been keeping my hands off these subjects because of the sensitivity involved. Recently though I am tempted to say a few things on such topics but present unconventional views and perspectives. What do you think? I will give it some more thought before.

Idea #64: Tears and Laughter..

I see great tragedy and even greater comedy in any given situation, in fact in all situations there is a tragic and a comic perspective.
